The method of preparation of rose petals in sugar
Gathering the flowers, carefully tear off the petals from them and carefully sort them out, peeling off the sepals, leaves, and release the insects that accidentally fall back into the garden - let them live!
Rinse rose petals is not necessary. Pour them into an enameled bowl. Pour sugar there and add citric acid - it will help maintain a beautiful pink color. If you make supplies without citric acid, the petals become brown over time.
Rub the petals with sugar with clean, dry hands until they begin to secrete juice. As an option - you can grind the petals with a pestle in a mortar. Sometimes it is advised to use a technique such as a blender and a meat grinder to grind the petals to make it faster. But do not do this: when in contact with metal, the petals lose their useful properties. And then, why rush? In the dynamic rhythm of our days, it is useful and pleasant to sometimes slow down to relax and enjoy the moment. And rubbing the petals by hand is just such an activity that promotes relaxation.
Inhaling the aroma of roses, you tune in to a calm, peaceful mood, and for good reason - rose essential oils have a calming effect. And how nice it is to pour silky petals in your hands - it seems that the skin becomes softer from contact with them.

Grated petals fill the prepared jars. You do not need to tamp too much, but pack it up more tightly - then the petals will settle.
The frayed rose petals can be stored in the refrigerator, in a glass dish with sealed lids for a year - until the next pink season.
